The Green Party Response to Trumps Tomohawk Cruise Missile Attack on Syria.( Interview Prep for David Malone , Golem XIV Blog)

I am preparing my notes for a Full Interview with  David Malone of the Golem XIV Blog Next Week.
David and I are friends and in many ways fellow political Travellers, we do Disagree about the CO2 APGW Hypothesis on which I am Agnostic at Best, enough to be burnt at the stake by true believers for sure.
I will after talking with David decide whether we might Stream the interview Live with Commenting in real time and questions. On this deciision I  would be interested in some feed back as to how many of our potential audience have sufficient band width perhaps even to participate over Skype with real time Questions.
Anyway, a lot of Ground to cover to be properly prepared to interview , even though he is a freind, someone whom I consider to be a Great Man and a Mentor and Sensai for the intellectual journey I am on.

I just read the official Green Party response to the US bombing of Syria. IT’S AWFUL. Jonathan Bartley said, “We condemn President Assad’s barbarous and criminal use of chemical weapons against innocent men, women and children.” WHAT?!
Does Jonathan have some evidence that no one else has? There is no good evidence to tell us who used the gas nor even what gas was used. I hope we will get such information but so far we have not.
I am amazed that Jonathan and the GP is willing to make such a baseless and stupid statement. Remember the 2013 Syrian gas attack? First the US had absolute proof it was Assad. Then they didn’t have proof. Then they maybe had proof. Then they didn’t again.
I am saddened to see the GP fall in to line with the US regime change narrative instead of demanding demanding proof before jumping to convenient conclusions.

Steve Finney Assad could well be a nasty piece of work, but I cannot imagine that in a situation in which things are going pretty well for his regime, that he would be stupid enough to give the US an excuse to intervene, & I imagine that the Russians would not be best pleased either. The hypocrisy of the US is staggering & the above has fully confirmed my doubts about the Green party.

Umberto Albarella Not very helpful David – you are of course entitled to your opinion but a full out attack is not what we need. There can be a debate without insult (stupid and all that). Regardless of the specific case that we could spend some time discussing, Assad has committed atrocities for a long time, and so have the Americans, who are supposed to have reacted in the name of human rights (laughable). Assad and Trump deserve each other, but in the meantime the situation on the ground is desperate beyond belief. We can do better to help them than start arguing with each other.

David Malone Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Scarborough and WhitbyHello Umberto Albarella. I would hardly call what I wrote as a full out attack. If we can’t voice criticism in public then we are a cult not a party. I think what Jonathan said was stupid and does damage to our party.

David Malone Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Scarborough and WhitbyRachel Hardy I have to say I cannot agree that I “crossed over into rudeness.” Obviously you and I ha=ve different ideas of what constitutes rude. I would say I was forthright but measured. Jonathan’s comment was not a personal opinion expressed privately. It was a formal public opinion expressed on behalf of the GP. I felt and feel it was as I described it. If any dissent at all is considered rude then we are doomed as a party.

David Malone Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Scarborough and Whitby
David Malone Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Scarborough and WhitbyUmberto Albarella I agree with your wish for the GP to be both consistent and cautious in making claims. And it is that point that is my problem with Jonathan. You have agreed that there is no proof to back up his claim that it was Assad. It was a very foolish conclusion to jump to. I think it was a stupid thing to say. If our leadership makes a very public declaration which is very unwise and has no basis in fact to underpin it, and we say nothing then what are the public to think of us? That we are a party who believe such baseless claims? That we allow our leadership to say such things in our name and raise no objection in pubic? If that;s the party you wish for all I can say is it is not the party I wish for. I do not think one should be abusive or attempt to shut down opinions that differ from one’s own. But if we cannot have, and be seen to have, robust discussion and hold our leaders to account then why should anyone give us the time of day? Abuse – no. Confronting the ill-thought out – yes. Especially when its done in my name. None of which is in any way to be an apologist for some one like Assad. I dislike him I dislike the interfering gas-seeking western powers. I dislike the various armed factions of religious zealots such as ISIS and Al Nustra. None of them have any care for the people who just want their children to see another day.

Kavy Keptson
Kavy Keptson Assad and the Russians would be mad to launch a chemical attack, it is exactly the excuse the US needs to go in on a full attack. To me it’s looks more like a false flag. We can only guess until the truth comes out, but there is not a lot of truth in the Western media.

Assad’s regime maybe odious but I don’t think Assad is, he probably listens to his generals and his establishment which will have rogue elements, like how it is in all the ruling establishments in the world.

If you look at the history you will see that the US was constantly trying to overthrow the Syrian government, violently if need be. Same for Cuba. This means these countries developed a strong secret service to protect themselves.

The West will cry out that they are oppressive and don’t allow democracy, but any democracy they were to allow would soon let the CIA in to bribe politicians so that the US could rule the country. Then they would open up the country to ‘ free markets’ and buy everything up so that the local people owned nothing. Western banks create the money out of nothing and can buy the world. The West would then put a corrupt establishment in power to run their affairs for them.

This is how it is all over the world, except in Russia, China, and some Latin American countries, and so our media, or the western propaganda machine, paints them in a very dark light indeed and calls them repressive. They even tried to say that Russia was homophobic and so were bad people. (Demonising the enemy). There’s no evidence for this, they only banned homosexual pornography aimed at children which the church asked for and the Russian government passed. Discrimination against gays is illegal in Russia. Discrimination against gays is rife is some American states.

Pussy Riot were degenerates who had orgies in public and had sex in a supermarket with a dead chicken and in front of children. I eventually found these videos online. No charges were brought against them for this but the West made out that the Russian regime was oppressive. In this country they would have got very stiff sentences indeed. Russians think that the West is degenerate.

It’s quite frightening to see how the propaganda works in the West, it is total, Orwellian. All the journalists who wanted to say the truth never got jobs in the media. A German journalist recently spoke about the corruption in the western media were many journalists had taken bribes from the CIA to print lies. He had done so too, but now regretted it, seeing how dangerous the world had become.

One Guardian journalist said the truth about Gaza and he never got an article published by them again. Another Guardian journalist was forced out who is now a Corbyn supporter. I forget their names. If I find them I will print them here.

There are a lot of mad people running the West. Paul Craig Roberts says that all the evil in the world is now concentrated in Washington.

The Project for a New American century, a bunch of war mongering Neocons, who have been writing documents for over 30 years about the US dominating the world this century, mainly by military means if necessary, and the Wolfowitz Doctrine spells out the same thing. So, like David, I’m surprised that the Green Party aren’t so clued up on all this. They have fallen into Western propaganda, it seems. Bearing in mind how evil the US has become, or always has been, it is necessary to keep an open mind on all false flag type events and not get tricked.

David Malone Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Scarborough and Whitby
David Malone Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Scarborough and WhitbyRachel Hardy and Gisela Gibbon How is this an outburst? What do you think members of the GP should do when a pubic statement is made in their name which they regard as very wrong? If they say nothing then no one inside or outside th party has any clue that some people in the party think the statement was wrong and does not speak for them. If they say something purely within the party, so as not maintain some facade of complete unanimity, then people outside of the party are still left with the impression that the statement represented their views. I am at a loss as to how you think criticism should be conducted?

FB is full of theories, nobody really knows anything at all, it’s so dangerous for politicians of ANY party to regurgitate unproven facts. I don’t understand the war in Syria, I just feel desperately sorry for all the victims, and am missing the sense of real sympathy for those poor citizens in any official rhetoric, it’s all inhumane madness. :'(
