Green Party Election 2017 Failure, The Parachutists. Who is your base? Who is your Swing? and Who is your Anti?

The party’s co-leader, Caroline Lucas, said she was optimistic the Greens would win Bristol West after finishing second in 2015 behind Labour.

She accused other progressive parties of being “reckless” by not backing tactical voting and said there was a groundswell of public demand for deals to be made to fight the Tories.

0:00
why launching in Bristol we’re launching
0:03
in Bristol because we’ve got an
0:04
incredibly good chance of winning our
0:06
second MP here in Bristol West our
0:08
candidate Molly Scott Cato is a member
0:10
of the European Parliament right now
0:11
incredibly well known and respected and
0:13
here in Bristol in 2015 we went from
0:15
four percent of the vote to 27 percent
0:17
now that is almost unprecedented in
0:19
electoral history in this country so
0:21
with a swing like that, we’re very
0:22
confident that we will get another MP
0:24
here in Bristol Westie what are the big
0:26
issues for people in the rest of you
0:28
think one of the key issues certainly is
0:30
around affordable housing one of the
0:31
pictures we’d be making today is
0:32
particularly around young people because
0:34
for young people trying to get on the
0:35
housing ladder even just trying to find
0:37
somewhere to rent that they can afford
0:38
is hugely difficult we’re talking to
0:40
young people as well in terms of the
0:41
environmental threats that are going to
0:43
affect them more than most and certainly
0:46
when it comes to our position on on
0:48
Brexit opposing this extreme Brexit that
0:50
we believe nobody voted for that wasn’t
0:52
on the ballot paper on the 23rd of June
0:53
that decision about Brexit is going to
0:55
affect young people more than most and
0:57
yet they didn’t even get a say in it so
0:59
that’s why yesterday in Parliament I was
1:01
calling on the Prime Minister to
1:02
urgently changed the law so that 16 to
1:05
18-year-olds would have the chance to
1:06
vote at the next general elections

SALIENCE, RELEVANCE, DIFFERENTIATION AND THE POLLING BOOTH , A CROSBY SHOW BLOGZINE.

Salience, Relevance, Differentiation and The Polling Booth point of sale

The NHS, Fairness, Immigration & People, Brexit and an end to Austerity. Are the Relevant and Salient issues I get from the Data.

Applying An analysis with the lens of Lynton Crosby’s 4 Elements in Campaigning, Namely;

1. Salience, ( Is it out there)

2. Relevance ( Do the people Give a Shit?)
Is it personally Relevant?

3. Differentiation ( They say That Too.)
Political Differences, Wheres the change, why change?

4. The point of Sale Execution (WTF?)
(Making the Lies Stick, Connect the policies to the Party.

Crosby says “if in Doubt Believe in something”, if your losing

then get someone else to do the Dirty work for you.

Let’s Refresh ourselves´ on the four elements.

Salience, ( Is it out there)

Relevance ( Do the people Give a Shit?)
Is it personally Relevant?

Differentiation ( They say That Too.)
Political Differences, Wheres the change, why change?

The point of Sale Execution (WTF?)

Making the Lies Stick, Connect the policies to the Party.

Crosby´s Core Objectives.

Lock in base then, move to the swing Group.

Who is your base?

Who is your Swing? and

Who is your Anti?

Applying Lynton Crosby’s Method to the Following Video Transcripts, Last Nights Battle for No10 interviews on Sky and the previous Leaders Debate on Sky, What is Salient, What Is is Relevant, Where is differentiation required and What is Lynton USP his positives for the Candidates and the Negatives for the Surrogates?

“ensure that they are focused on

where they will Yield most return”

Here is the Tag Cloud I generated from Last Nights Battle For No 10 Program.

Here are the Issues Survation asked its polling audience to rate.

By These measures and this Empirical evidence compare the Transcript of Caroline Lucas´s Launch Addresses when the Green Manifesto was Launched in the shadow of the Clifton Suspension Bridge and see how the mood of the campaign is totally absent Carolines Talking points. Sadly the GPEX echo chamber and reluctance to Bring Caroline up on her naive and confirmation bias ridden analysis led to abject failure in Bristol West. Bristol North West Saw the Green Step aside, of course, what is notable in both of these seats is that the winning Labour Candidates are Both Progress and not momentum supporters indeed Darren Jones supported Owen Smith in the 2nd Labour Leadership contest and actually campaigned for Hilary Clinton in the US election in November 2016.

Caroline’s antenna when it comes to Ordinary Peoples Issues and concerns are hopeless quite frankly.

Again Molly seems to have been parachuted in without a functioning parachute and poor old Darren Hall was thrown from the Brexit Ivory Tower in the Southwest Mayoral election, although he will have felt at home with the abysmal voter turnout as would have been Molly. It seems Caroline specialises in winning votes where the vast majority of the electorate does not.

Of Course, Brighton Pavillion went very well, but Brighton is Brighton and as much as I love the place, it remains the London Borough of Brighton on Sea and Bath remains the London Borough of Bath on Wells, too much Roedean and not enough Ghost in the machine I feel.

Natalie put on a better Show in Sheffield Central but of course, although the parachute was functioning there is still the question of whether Jillian Creasy may have glided in for a better Landing on what was, in fact, her Home fixture.

In Short, the Greens are far too Progress and Progressive and lack the Authenticity and Ground game of the Momentum within Red-Labour. The Pound shop Lib Dem presidential strategy could not even beat a Blairite in the Greens No 1 Target seat. Why are we even having to talk about a Leadership contest in 2018, Caroline and Johnathan should resign.

One of the funniest jokes on Election note was a report of one wag saying, The Campaign of Mrs Mays design and implementation looked as If Mrs May have looked at Hilary Clintons truly appalling campaign in November 2016 and said Let’s do it like that. Caroline with the Deplorable rhetoric seems to have taken a leaf out of the very same Book.
